Baby's first Sox game: 365.339
My father-in-law was able to get us all tickets to the final Sox game of the season in his company's luxury box. Dude. This box has RUINED ME for baseball at Fenway. Nothing will ever be as awesome, or as convenient with a fidgety toddler. We thought about taking her to a game earlier this summer and I'm glad we didn't because there's no way she'd have been able to sit in the regular stands. The box was awesome because she could go inside and outside whenever she wanted, free endless snacks, food & drinks (sausage sandwiches, steak tips, hot dogs, Legal Seafood chowder, pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, haagan daas ice cream, fancy fruit and cheese and cracker plate, pretzels, peanuts, chips & dip, beer, wine, water, soda...insane. All free!), giant TV on the wall (tuned to the Patriots game), private bathroom with TV (this part was key with the potty training toddler!), leather furniture, laptops with internets...seriously it was awesome! I always laughed at the luxury box people, prefering to see the game with the "real fans," but let me tell you, I am a real fan and this was totally freaking sweet. I will likely never be able to experience it again (all the boxes are owned by big corporations...my father-in-law has worked for his company for 25 years and this is his first time in the box...) but I definitely enjoyed it while I was there. And the Sox won. Good day.
Baby Robin Second Batch in 2011
The second batch of baby Robins was not in the same nest, and this nest was much harder to get to in order to take pictures. It was the same Mama & Papa Robin, and they had another clutch of 4 eggs, but i just couldn't watch what was happening very well.
I should explain that I took these pictures for the second batch out of the same window in the upstairs bedroom, that I took the first batch. The *climbing around* I had to do was in the bedroom and on the furniture to get an angle out the window. I didn't climb around in the tree. This nest was much harder to see from the window than the first one.
